A Caterpillar C18 longblock is a completely assembled engine core consisting of the cylinder block, crankshaft, cylinder heads, camshaft, pistons, bearings, valve train, and all internal components, excluding external accessories such as the exhaust manifold, fuel system connections, and wiring harness.
